Violet's Bar

Located in the historic grain of Soho, this commercial intervention reimagines a site once synonymous with the local icon, the "Queen of Soho." Our architectural response moves away from the traditional dark-lit bar aesthetic, proposing a sophisticated refurbishment that transitions seamlessly from a high-end specialty coffee house by day to a refined cocktail bar by evening.

The materiality is a deliberate study in tactile contrast. We’ve specified vertical fluted timber for the bar frontage, offset by an elegant brushed brass trim and a seamless Calacatta marble countertop. The lighting scheme utilizes warm, recessed LEDs and orb pendants to highlight the rhythmic textures of the sage-green tiled walls. By retaining the site’s bohemian spirit while introducing a modern, minimalist luxury, the proposal ensures the space remains a cornerstone of Soho’s evolving social fabric.
