D6 - Garden Improvement

This compact garden project transforms an underused rear plot in Dublin into a practical and carefully detailed outdoor structure. The design combines a secure, insulated storage shed with a semi-open covered bay for motorcycles and bicycles, bringing two distinct uses beneath a single low-pitched roof. Brown slatted composite cladding gives the building a warm, contemporary character, while exposed timber posts soften its relationship with the existing garden. The structure was developed around the retained open-bay concrete and rear access gate, minimising unnecessary intervention. Integrated doors, robust plywood lining and concealed weatherproofing create a durable, low-maintenance solution tailored to everyday storage and access needs.
